Salamu 'alaykum,

I really liked this post because it's uncanny how much this reminds me of my own father. My father and I have almost the same relationship, he's very quiet and it's difficult for me to relate to him. By coincidence, he's also an engineer, haha.

Anyway, great post, and i'A we can take advantage of the time we have with our parents while they are here, learn from them, and learn to appreciate all they do for us.

Amir, the books are going to a charitable organization that are sending books to poor countries in Africa and Asia. Why don't you take a week off and come clean the garage? Haseena, you should forward the email to Amir regarding those books.

I'm about what you and mommy are doing with the books, but there is nothing I can do. InshaAllah when I come up I'm going to take back a bunch.

Anyways thanks for the writing and reflection on daddy. Please save all the old school photos and notes.
